Forwards
Wyatt Teubert, Hampton Roads Whalers
This ‘04 from White Rock, B.C., proves that the process of having success in the USPHL Elite and then in the USPHL Premier works beautifully. After posting 29 points in 37 games with the Whalers last year – and earning two games up with the Premier squad – he has already accrued 22 points through 21 Premier games. He’s already matched his 10 goals with the Elite side last year, thanks in part to a 4-5-9 month of December. He is currently on an eight-game, 6-6-12 point streak to start 2023.
Niko Schoner, Nashville Spartans
Schoner continues to be a familiar name to this honor, as he had another huge month to end 2022. He put up eight goals and five assists for 13 points in his eight contests last month. Bringing him in this year, with NCDC experience, was a huge get for the first-year Spartans. His 30 goals scored this year places him sixth in that category league-wide, and he is guaranteed at least a point-per-game average for the season with 44 points so far.
Siamion Marshchanok, Potomac Patriots
A fantastic mid-fall pickup for the Patriots, the ‘05 from Belarus has been lights-out with the offense, oftentimes either assisting or getting assists from his twin brother Matvei. Both joined in November from Team Belarus U18 and Siamion has scored nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points in just 12 games. For December, he put up six goals and nine assists for 15 points, including 5-6-11 at the USPHL Florida College Showcase. That’s what you call making yourself noticed!
Defense
C.J. Stucky, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes
The veteran ‘02 out of Everett, Wash., has been a steady presence on the blue line defensively for the Jr. Canes, while also helping to lead in defense. He was the top-scoring defenseman for all Southeast Division blueliners last month with 2-8-10 through seven games, a 1.43 points per game average. He now has 36 points in 53 career games.
Peter Keese, Charlotte Rush
Keese (‘03/Minnetonka, Minn.) has certainly found a fine new home in his fourth USPHL Premier, helping the Rush to second place in the league entering 2023. Keese not only posted a goal and eight assists for nine points in eight December games, an average of 1.13 per game. He also led the division with a +14. In 128 USPHL Premier games, he has registered 52 points.
Goaltender
Devin Stephens, Charlotte Rush
Stephens (‘03/Trenton, Mich.) is another strong talent utilizing past NCDC experience towards helping his Premier team to reach lofty heights, such as second place in the entire USPHL Premier in points. During the month of December, Stephens stopped 116 of 121 shots for a .959 save percentage. He finished 2022 with a 24-save shutout of the Florida Jr. Blades.
