USPHL Premier Players Of The Month – February 2023: Florida Division

Summaries By Joshua Boyd / USPHL.com

Forwards

Caden Glamkowski, Columbia Infantry

The Infantry may have struggled in a tough Florida Division in Year 1, but they certainly landed a top player in one of the best ‘04’s in the league. Glamkowski is nearing the 100-point mark in his career already, standing with 97 in 80 games. This year, in 42 games with the Infantry, he has 39. He posted a 9-3-12 mark during the month of February, all over the course of just eight games. He started fresh on the month with two goals against the division-leading Florida Eels in a close 7-6 OT loss. He later posted a hat trick against the Eels, accounting for all three of his team’s goals in a loss.

Maverick Crupi, Florida Eels

Crupi (‘03/St. Petersburg, Fla.) has left his first USPHL Premier season totals in the dust, improving from 16 to 53 this season. He outscored last season in February alone by putting up a 6-14-20 line. He registered points in all but one of eight games, and six of those were multi-point outings. He left February on an active six-game, 17-point streak, including a five-point outing against the Palm Beach Typhoon on Feb. 24.

Connor Nelson, Tampa Bay Juniors

Nelson (‘02/Woodbury, Minn.) sent himself over the career 100-point mark in February, putting up 10 goals and adding three assists for a 13-point month in just seven contests. Nelson enjoyed an eight-game goal-scoring streak of 13 goals between Jan. 28 to Feb. 25. This culminated in a four-goal effort against the Florida Jr. Blades on Feb. 16, the first one by a TBJ player since at least 2018. He stands with 49 points in 43 games this year.

Defense

Kyle Ziemba, Florida Eels

Ziemba (‘02/Harrisburg, Pa.) was the Florida Division’s leading point-getter among defensemen with 10 points (3-7-10) in seven games. Just to top that off, he was also the division’s leader in plus-minus at +18. The second-year Premier player also finished with 37 points in 43 games this year, more than tripling the 12 points he posted in 2021-22 prior to joining the Eels.

Eoin Reager, Atlanta MadHatters

Reager (‘03/Foxboro, Mass.) has been a huge part of Atlanta sealing up the No. 2 seed in the Florida Division playoffs. A USPHL Elite All-Star last year, this shining example of #USPHLAdvancement put up six assists in five games for the MadHatters in February, and his 29 points is good for second among MadHatters defensemen in scoring.

Goaltender

Adam Rouleau, Florida Eels

The ‘04 from Rouyn-Noranda, Que., who came to the Eels with QMJHL experience, continued to be a huge literal saving grace for the Eels. He posted shutouts back-to-back in February, against the Florida Jr. Blades (15 saves) and Palm Beach (23 saves). Over the course of the month, he stopped all but four of the 90 shots he faced and went 4-0. He closed the season undefeated at 8-0 since joining in January, with a 1.00 GAA and a .960 save percentage.
