against the Columbus Mavericks on Sept. 17. This performance puts Roldan in first place in the Mid-
Atlantic scoring race early in the season.
Defense: Andrew Simonchyk, P.A.L. Junior Islanders
Simonchyk had a great first game of the season with the Junior Islanders. The ’04 blueliner from Clinton, N.Y., put up a goal and assist in the team’s first game of the season against the Jersey Hitmen.
Goalie: Blake Micucci, Buffalo Stampede
Micucci (‘04/Hamburg, N.Y.) made a statement by posting a shutout in his USPHL debut. The rookie
netminder stopped all 47 shots he faced against the Columbus Mavericks in the Stampede’s 4-0 victory.
