Games of Oct. 22-28, 2024
North Division
Forward: Preston Lundbohm, Northwest Express
Lundbohm (‘05/Roseau, Minn.) was absolutely on fire during the USPHL Wisconsin Midwest Showcase. Looking at even half of their showcase games, those of Oct. 22 and 23, he put up four goals and four assists for eight points. His totals balloon to 15 points when you look at his entire showcase output! He enjoyed his first USPHL Premier hat trick on Oct. 22, adding an assist there as well and pushed his season points total to 20 in 10 games.
Defense: Connor Corcoran, Northwest Express
Corcoran (‘05/Haverhill, Mass.) put up five assists to help the Express join the Minnesota Mullets as the only teams to go 4-0 at the USPHL Wisconsin Midwest Showcase. Over the course of the Express’ final two games of the showcase, he dished out five assists and contributed to his team giving up only four total games on the Tuesday and Wednesday. Overall for the event, he had an immense line of 1-10-11, leading all defensemen at the showcase. He sports a line of 20 points in 11 games overall.
Goaltender: Joseph Auletti, Minnesota Blue Ox
Auletti (‘05/Staten Island, N.Y.) improved to 4-0 on the season after stopping 51 of 52 shots in his Oct. 23 Wisconsin Showcase game against the Battle Creek Kernels. He is currently 4-0 with a 2.24 GAA and a .940 save percentage on the season.
Midwest Division
Forward: Broderik Burge, Fort Wayne Spacemen
Burge (‘04/Fort Wayne, Ind.) has absolutely been on fire for the Spacemen lately. The second-year Spaceman has posted points in his last six games going back to Sept. 26, and over his most recent three, he had a 5-4-9 line. He has 17 points in eight games, and lifted his points per game career average over 1.00 with 47 in 46 contests.
Defense: Brody Vachon, Fort Wayne Spacemen
Vachon (‘05/Timmins, Ont.) put up a pair of goals and two assists for four points in the Spacemen’s three-game series against the Decatur Blaze, part of the Spacemen’s seven-game winning streak. Vachan has an active five-game scoring streak over which he has six of his seven season points.
Goaltender: Herman Zippeldt, Fort Wayne Spacemen
Zippeldt (‘07/Novopolotsk, Belarus) registered his first junior shutout in just his third start. He stopped all 27 Decatur Blaze shots on Oct. 26 and improved to 3-0 for the season, with a .963 save percentage.
Great Lakes Division
Forward: Hank Davis, Cincinnati Jr. Cyclones
The Jr. Cyclones’ Davis helped the Cyclones to a 4-0 win over the Isanti Outlaws on Oct. 22, and over the course of their final three USPHL Wisconsin Midwest Showcase games, he put up a 3-1-4 line for his team. He came away with a 5-2-7 line for the full event. Davis and teammate Ethan Keddie, also with seven points, had the most points at the showcase for any Great Lakes player in attendance and Davis led the conference in goals.
Defense: River Lewis, Metro Jets
The two-year Jets organization veteran, Lewis (‘05/Chandler, Ariz.) put up a 1-3-4 line overall for the week as the Jets defeated Columbus twice to remain undefeated through nine games so far this season. Lewis, who played last year with the Metro Jets Development Program, has nine points over eight games.
Goaltender: Daxton Lucidi, Toledo Cherokee
Lucidi (‘05/Trenton, Mich.) put up a 32-save shutout victory for his second junior win in as many games this season. Lucidi joined the Cherokee this year from the prestigious Belle Tire organization.
Selection Process: Divisional statistical leaders are presented to coaches, who are able to vote on the leaders, or nominate and vote on alternate candidates.
