USPHL Premier Players Of The Week: Northeast Region

Week of Feb. 27, 2025

Games of Feb. 18-24

Atlantic Division

Forward: Blake Andreoni, Connecticut Jr. Rangers

The second-year Ranger Andreoni (‘04/Plantation, Fla.) almost equaled exactly his 2023-24 points total of 39 points by scoring 38 points for a career total of 77. He scored five goals and three assists in his final four games of the regular season for eight points.

Defense: Michael Bonino, Mercer Chiefs

A longtime THF veteran, including this year with the Chiefs’ 18U AAA team, Bonino (‘06/Atlantic City, N.J.) also played in 42 Premier games for the first-year Chiefs Premier team. He registered a goal and added five assists for six points, giving him 29 points on 42 games.

Goaltender: A.J. Golden, West Chester Wolves

Golden (‘04/Medford, N.J.) made 35 saves on 36 shots in two games and this included a 26-save shutout against the Brooklyn Aviators. Golden went 7-3-1-2 in his last regular season, and the Feb. 23 shutout was the first of his career.

New England Division

Forward: Justin Hooper, Springfield Pics

Hooper (‘05/Coconut Creek, Fla.) registered five goals and three assists for eight points during a single game performance for the ages against the Thunder Hockey Club on Feb. 18. He ended with 65 points in a complete 44-game season.

Defense: River Sciarotta, Springfield Pics

Sciarotta (‘05/Montpelier, Vt.) doubled his goal total on the season by scoring his first hat trick for a season line of 6-2-8. He joined the Premier this year from last year’s Elite team – a great example of USPHL Advancement In Action.

Goaltender: Jordan Dumont, Boston Junior Bruins

A second-year junior who joined the Premier from the EHL, Dumont (‘05/Entrelacs, Que.) stopped all 21 shots he faced against the Boston Jr. Rangers. This was Dumont’s third straight win and first Premier shutout. He finished the season with an 11-8-2-1 record with a .914 save percentage.

Canada Division

Forward: Dylan Perron, Montreal Black Vees

Perron (‘06/St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que.) was extremely generous in dishing out seven assists in two games to help the Black Vees close their first USPHL Premier season as the Canada Division regular season champions. The seven assists gave him 39 points in 39 games for the season.

Defense: Jasmin Tremblay, Montreal Black Vees

Tremblay (‘05/Barraute, Que.) scored three goals and added two assists in the Black Vees’ regular season-closing series against Somang L-L Hockey. Since joining from the QJHL in January, he closed the season with 14 points in 13 games.

Goaltender: Taniel Karaboghossian, Hawkesbury Knights

Karabooghossian (‘05/Laval, Que.) made 22 saves for his third shutout in five starts this season. He finished the regular season with a 4-1-0-0 record and a .930 save percentage.

Selection Process: Divisional statistical leaders are presented to coaches, who are able to vote on the leaders, or nominate and vote on alternate candidates.
