Games of Oct. 22-28, 2024
New England Division
Forward: Jack Roberts, Islanders Hockey Club
Roberts (‘04/Middlefield, Conn.) ascended to third all-time on the IHC Premier list, dating back to the 2017-18 season, as he posted a pair of goals and added three assists for five points. For the season, he has 20 points in 11 games, and for his career, he’s posted 86 points in 90 games.
Defense: Payton Kender, South Shore Kings
Kender (‘04/Brewster, Mass.) scored the OT game-winner and added an assist in games of Oct. 23 and 26, giving him five points in this, his second season with South Shore. He has helped the Kings stand in the top three of the New England Division.
Goaltender: Adam Hedges, Springfield Pics
Hedges (‘05/Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland) recently joined the Pics and is already 2-0 for the team. On Oct. 27, he stopped 40 of the 41 shots that he faced against the Twin City Thunder. He holds a 1.50 GAA and a .959 save percentage in two games thus far.
Canada Division
Forward: Eliot Arseneault, Hawkesbury Knights
The Hawkesbury Knights have put up points in their last four games to hold onto first place in the new Canada Division. Arsenault (‘06/Victoriaville, Que.) is a big reason for their recent success, as he’s put up a 4-3-7 line in their past two games, both wins against Kingston and Somang. He has 11 goals and 17 points in 18 games this year.
Defense: Matt Burns, Hawkesbury Knights
Burns (‘05/Ste-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, Que.) was feeling generous with his teammates last week, dishing out six assists in the space of just two games. He is also on a five-game point streak with a 1-8-9 line over four games dating back to Oct. 12.
Goaltender: Jeremie Barron, Hawkesbury Knights
No stranger to this honor this season, Barron (‘04/Vaudreuil, Que.) put up his first USPHL shutout on Oct. 27 against Somang L-L Hockey, stopping all 32 shots that he faced in net. Barron’s six wins this season place him in the top 10 of that category league-wide.
Atlantic Division
Forward: Peter Kovac, Mercer Chiefs
Kovac (‘06/Zvolen, Slovakia) has been a big reason why the first-year Chiefs have earned points in their last four games, going 3-0-1-0 over that stretch. In the past three games alone, he had a 3-6-9 line, and he is on an active five-game scoring streak in which he’s collected 12 points. He leads the Chiefs with 16 points in 13 games.
Defense: Patrick Haines, Red Bank Generals
Haines (‘05/Belford, N.J.) has helped the first-year Generals go on a recent 2-0-1-0 point streak. He scored a pair of goals, and added a pair of assists over the past week for five points. That outburst represents the bulk of his eight points in 11 games this year.
Goaltender: Elijah Wiltshire, West Chester Wolves
Wiltshire (‘05/Palm Harbor, Fla.) repeats in this spot after going on a 2-0 run in which he stopped 93 of 96 shots, including 51 of 52 shots on Oct. 26 against the defending National Champion Connecticut Jr. Rangers. His .946 save percentage on the season places him in the top 10 overall league-wide in that category.
Selection Process: Divisional statistical leaders are presented to coaches, who are able to vote on the leaders, or nominate and vote on alternate candidates.
