Pacific Division 

Forward: Knut Hornkvist, San Diego Sabers 

The San Diego Sabers went 3-1 this week, with the help of 13 total points from Hornkvist (‘04/Örnskoldsvik, Sweden), who scored four goals and posted nine assists over the four games, including the game-winning goal on Dec. 20. He registered his 100th career point through an assist on Dec. 18, with 110 total points and counting. Hornkvist has played 68 premier games across two seasons. 

 

Defense: Jett McCullum, Ventura Vikings

McCullum (‘04/Moncton, Canada) took his place as the top point-scoring defenseman for the entire Premier League, adding 15 points to his name this week across four games with the Ventura Vikings. He posted three goals and 12 assists for his season, totaling 48. He has played 28 games in his first Premier season and has an 11-game points streak that began on Nov. 24. This is his second consecutive Player of the Week nomination. 

 

Goaltender: Nicholas Perry, Henderson Force 

Perry (‘05/Chino Hills, Calif.) went 2-0 in his games for the Henderson Force this week, garnering a .963 save percentage and 1.21 goals against average. He captured his first-ever 26-save shutout on Dec. 18 and had 77 saves on 80 shots, which included 12 saves on 13 in relief performance. He is 9-6-0-0 in his second Premier season.

 

Northwest Division 

Forward: Aatu Suontakanen, Seattle Totems 

The Seattle Totems continue an 18-game win streak that began on Oct. 12. Suontakanen (‘05/Finland) contributed to this streak, posting four goals and seven assists across four games this week. This adds to his rookie season tally of 65. He has registered points in all 23 games he played this season, including four game-winning goals. 

 

Defense: Braden Wilson, Colorado Fighting Elk 

Wilson (‘06/Fort Collins, Colo.) registered four goals and two assists with the Colorado Fighting Elk, adding to his point tally 13. The blueliner is playing in his first Premier season, with 24 games played so far. 

 

Goaltender: Daniel Cleofe, Seattle Totems 

The Seattle Totems continue to show their might, standing second in the Pacific Northwest Division leaderboard with Cleofe (‘04/Seattle) registered a .981 save percentage and going 2-0 in his games this week for the team. His 29-save shutout on Dec. 21 and 51 saves on 52 shots gave him a .50 goals against average for the week. In his third Premier season, Cleofe is 9-2-0-0. He has a career .897 save percentage.

Selection Process: Divisional statistical leaders are presented to coaches, who are able to vote on the leaders, or nominate and vote on alternate candidates.
