Pacific
Forward: Kai Tsoar, Ventura Vikings
Tsoar (‘04/Calabasas, Calif.) was immense with his offense in a three-game series against the Colorado Fighting Elk. He registered four goals and added 12 assists for 16 points, averaging 5.33 points per game. He now has 62 points in 20 Premier games. He’s also played in six games with the Rock Springs Grizzlies in the NCDC, registering one assist there – USPHL Advancement In Action.
Jett McCullum, Ventura Vikings
McCullum (‘04/Moncton, N.B.) added six goals of his own plus six assists for 12 points during the Vikings’ three-game series against the Fighting Elk in a battle of two first-year franchises. With 73 points in 39 games, McCullum is the leading scorer among Premier defensemen.
Goaltender: Nicholas Perry, Henderson Force
Perry (‘05/Chino Hills, Calif.) registered a 56-save shutout, the most saves in a shutout for any Premier goaltender this season. He stopped every shot from the Iron County Yeti for a 14-8-0-0 record with a .923 save percentage.
Northwest Division
Forward: Roni Alanko, Vernal Oilers
Alanko (‘05/Helsinki, Finland) put up a hat trick – his sixth of the season and second in a row – on Feb. 8, and he added a 2-2-4 line for nine points. He has 41 goals and 82 points in 25 games. That’s in addition to scoring five points during the two-game USPHL All-Star event in Foxboro, Mass.
Defense: Mason Rizik, Seattle Totems
Rizik (‘07/Tacoma, Wash.) registered four assists in two games against the Fighting Elk and the Bellingham Blazers. He scored 29 points in 39 games.
Goaltender: Mason Bouchard, Iron County Yeti
Bouchard (‘04/Westbrook, Ont.) was on the other side of the ice from Nicholas Perry when the latter was setting a season-high for saves in a shutout. However, Bouchard kept the Yeti close throughout by stopping 43 of 45 shots for a division-leading .956 save percentage. Bouchard has six wins in this, his third junior season.
