USPHL Premier Players Of The Week: West Region

Northwest Division

Forward: Wilhelm Rosdahl Folkesson, Seattle Totems

Amid a ton of massive performances for the Totems over their past three games, it was Folkesson (‘05/Lidingo, Sweden) who was the goal-scoring king for the team. He had a four-goal and a three-goal performance during their series sweep against the Bellingham Blazers. He also added three assists for 10 points total on the weekend. 

 

Defense: Felix Palla, Seattle Totems

Palla (‘06/Gyor, Hungary) put together a big weekend with a goal and three assists for four points. With 26 points on the season, Palla is second in points among all Premier defensemen and leads the way in points per game at 1.53. 

 

Goaltender: Jaden Salado, Bremerton Sockeyes 

On Nov. 8, Salado (‘05/Omaha, Neb.) was in net for the Sockeyes’ first USPHL Premier victory. Against the Rogue Valley Royals, Salado stopped 38 of 40 shots in the historic 5-2 victory. 

 

Pacific Division

Forward: Brian Erte, Lake Tahoe Lakers

Erte (‘05/Helsinki, Finland) was everywhere at once in the Lakers’ three-game series of wins against the visiting Ventura Vikings. He rang up five goals and added eight assists for 13 points, averaging 4.33 points per game for the trifecta. On Nov. 9, he scored his first hat trick plus an additional goal for four – and he also added four assists for an eight-point outing. For the season, Erte has 48 points in 24 games and ranks second in points. 

 

Defense: Patrick Lindbohm, Lake Tahoe Lakers

One day after Erte scored his first hat trick, Lindbohm (‘05/Helsinki, Finland) did the same, and added one assist. For the weekend, Lindbohm put up a 4-1-5 line, improving to 17 points in 18 games on the season. 

 

Goaltender: Nicholas Perry, Henderson Force 

Perry (‘05/Chino Hills, Calif.) put up three wins as the Force earned a big sweep against the Bakersfield Roughnecks to extend their winning streak to five games and move into second place in the Pacific Division. He stopped 82 of 89 shots for the weekend, good for a .921 save percentage and a 2.33 GAA. Overall, he is 6-3-0-0 and on a four-game winning streak. 

Selection Process: Divisional statistical leaders are presented to coaches, who are able to vote on the leaders, or nominate and vote on alternate candidates.
