Wisconsin Rapids River Kings Playoffs

Wisconsin Rapids, WI- As the Wisconsin Rapids RiverKings’ regular season came to an end on Sunday night Coach Quarters thanked the players for a successful regular season and congratulated the team on setting a new record for the regular season; however, he then got the players focused on the task at hand, a theme that he has stressed since day one, back in August. The RiverKings ended the season in 5th place with 33-10-5 record, only 9 points (4.5 game) behind the first place Forest Lake Lakers.

This upcoming weekend the RiverKings’ will be traveling to the 4th place Saint Croix Valley Magicians. Earlier in the season the RiverKings faced off against the Magicians in a two game series. The Magicians snuck away with a win in the first game, but the RiverKings took control of the second game, leaving the series between the RiverKings and the Magicians a 1-1 split. The RiverKings’ first round games will be held on Friday and Saturday at the Vadnais Hights Arena, located at 1490 County Road E. East, Vadnais Heights, MN 55110.
