South Shore Kings 5, Utica Jr. Comets 4

The Kings won their 13th in a row, losing only their Sept. 19 season opener so far. Zachary Walsh (’05/Lake View, N.Y.) scored the GWG in regulation just 27 seconds after the Jr. Comets had tied the game at 4-4. Joseph Dable (’04/Wellesley, Mass.) and Brennan Cail (’05/Cheshire, Conn.) each had a goal and an assist. Will Rassier (’04/Princeton, N.J.) put up two assists. William Baker (’05/Norwalk, Conn.) made 34 saves on 38 shots.

For Utica, Niko Benjamin (’04/Surprise, Ariz.) put up four points.

 

Mercer Chiefs 4, West Chester Wolves 2

Justin Thibault (’08/Levis, Que.) scored the game-winner and added an assist. Also putting up a 1-1-2 line was Nicholas Rockey (’06/Mullica Hill, N.J.) Ben Skowroneck (’05/Arlington, Va.) registered 27 saves on 29 shots in the win. This was the Chiefs’

 

Northern Cyclones 2, Thunder Hockey Club 1

Lukas Saving (’05/Stockholm, Sweden) scored the game-winning goal in regulation to help lead the Cyclones to their fifth straight victory. Michael Markowski (’04/Spring Lake, N.J.) registered two assists. Logan Abric (’04/Hayward, Wis.) stopped 32 of 33 shots.

 

Utah Outliers 2, Ogden Mustangs 0 

Garrett Joss (’04/Whitby, Ont.) scored twice – including his 28th career goal to set the new record for goals in the Outliers’ two-year NCDC history. American International College recruit Marcus Ouellet (’04/Toronto, Ont.) stopped all 31 shots he faced for his second shutout. He’s also undefeated in regulation at 5-0-0-1.

 

Pueblo Bulls 4, Casper Warbirds 3

Defenseman Trevor Stewart. (’05/Cumming, Ga.) put together two goals and an assist to lead the Bulls over Casper Warbirds. The Bulls also got a 1-1-2 line from Balasz Hiezl (’05/Budapest, Hungary) and Siamion Marshchanok (’05/Minsk, Belarus). Goaltender Iannico Amaranto (’05/Johnstown, Pa.)  stopped 31 of 34 shots overall for the win.
