Alright kids, its Thursday when you read this, but I can tell you I have been wanting to write this for a few years now. And the taste in your mouth after reading this with your morning cheerios isn’t going to be sweet.
So its really time for all you players and parents to pull your heads completely out of your asses and open your eyes to the truth. Whats the truth right?
The truth is you need to stop comparing one league to another league! Wake the hell up people! If you want to compare anything you compare one team to another team.
Really, do you think it matters if you’re on a shitty team but its in a good league? No. Because no one is going to watch a bad organization.
Now I am not talking about wins and losses here. I am talking about bad teams as in incompetent people who are running them. They have no clue how to get kids to school, and they rely on the “league” name or brand to get them players. They can continue to rely on the “league” name or brand because you all keep assuming that if you play in one “league” or another you are seen as a legitimate prospect.
Well mommies and daddies, boys and girls, got some news for you, scouts go to watch teams, and players on those teams. They don’t go to watch leagues. Only when “leagues” have showcases are some kids seen completely by accident in a bad organization.
Oh yeah, and a little news flash for ya, there are bad organizations in every league. That’s right, every league under the sun has bad organizations in it.
So when I read all you out there asking what “league” you should go to, it just shows me more and more how some of the bullshit propaganda put out by leagues is actually being believed. When I see in our TJHN web stats all the search terms some people use to find stories on our site or to find our site that say something like “Canada Junior A or NAHL” I nearly fall off my chair laughing.
Yep, that’s right we track everything here. I even get tipped off to stories based on your search terms. Thanks for that by the way.
So Bobby, Bobby’s Mom and Dad, time to wake up, have a coffee, and stop acting stupid. Stop comparing leagues and start comparing teams.
On that note though we would like to announce that little Bobby who played for our Squirt A team fifteen years ago, has finally signed his letter of intent to play for WGAS University after we claimed responsibility for his development and we haven’t spoken to him in ten years. (Who Gives A Sh##) University is located on the Saudi Arabian Peninsula and is known as a hockey powerhouse as well as a fine pastry chef school.
