A lot of young athletes right now are wondering why they didn’t make the team at the next level. Why they don’t have an NCAA commitment. Why they haven’t been drafted. Why, why, why?
Each of these players has one thing in common 99% of the time.
They are so focused on what everyone else is doing or what the competition has that they are not focused enough on what they are doing themselves!
People often ask me about my competition. My answer is always the same. I don’t care what they do or what they are doing. I wish them the best but I am focused on my clients and nothing more.
When I was an athlete, I didn’t care what anyone else had. It only mattered that I got to my goals.
All the talk is just that, talk. All the talking about who is talking to which team or which school or anything else is usually bullshit and its really just senseless noise.
Stop paying attention to the noise. Start focusing on the plan you have to get yourself to the next level.
And if you don’t have a plan then you have already identified your biggest problem!
You cant build a house, a road, or a swing set in the back year without instructions or a blue print. Why are so many of you trying to build a career without plans or a blue print?
If your good enough, they WILL NOT find you. Unless you have a plan.
If you are reading this, chances are, you think you have a plan. You think if you’re good enough they will find you because someone told you that lie.
Its time to get to work boys. Time to really get to work. Are you ready? Or do you just contribute to the senseless noise?
