Athens Shingoose signs with Prince Albert Raiders

Prince Albert, Sask. – The Prince Albert Raiders are happy to announce that 2025 first-round pick Athens Shingoose has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the club.

Selected 16th overall in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft, Shingoose is the first Raider pick from the draft to be signed.

In the 2024-25 regular season, Shingoose dominated the CSSHL, scoring 31 goals with RHA Winnipeg, tallying 60 points in 32 games.

“We’re ecstatic to add Athens to our group,” Raiders Director of Player Personnel Bruno Zarrillo said. “He’s a player that tries to make something happen every shift. He’s exciting, he’s so strong on his feet. You just can’t knock him off the puck. He is such a competitor. From everyone we talked to around the community, he’s a first class kid and we’re very excited to have him.”
