Boston Junior Bruins Shootout | Day 2 Recap

SOMANG HOCKEY 5, THUNDER HOCKEY CLUB 0

Lucas Choteau and Tyler Comertrari scored 47 seconds apart in the third period to break up a close game and send Somang on its way. Choteau finished the game with three goals and an assist. Traels Jombin Skovgaard-Simon had the other goal for Somang. Thijs Scheyltjens had the shutout in goal.

 

UNVERSEL GATINEAU 4, SOUTH SHORE KINGS 3 OT

Hugo Berube notched the game-winner in extra time to give Universel Gatineau the win over the South Shore Kings. It was Berube’s second goal of the game. Charlie Olmstead and Nicolas Barnes also lit the lamp for the winners and goalie Vincent LaBelle had 37 saves. Caleb McNulty, Jack Farrell and Chirs Petrella scored for the Kings.

 

HERSHEY CUBS 4, NY DYNAMO 1

Two third period goals from Jeremy Deschambault-Perron were huge as the Cubs pulled away for the victory. Jameson Flint had two goals of his own in the second period for Hershey.

 

ISLANDERS HOCKEY CLUB 1, UNIVERSEL SHERBROOKE 0 (SO)

Ethan Fradkin and Adam Hadi scored goals in the shootout to send IHC to the win after a scoreless regulation. Mathieu Bourelle had a shootout goal for Universel Sherbrooke and goalie Isac Ouellet made 35 saves.

 

RED RIVER SPARTANS 4, SPRINGFIELD PICS 2

 

SPRINGFIELD PICS 6, HERSHEY CUBS 4

James Delaney’s goal and two assists led a balanced scoring attack (six different goal scorers) for the Pics. John Mireault and River Sciaretti each had a goal and assist, while Kelly McMahon, Adam Wizmuller and Charlie Wilson each had a goal. For the Cubs, Jeremy Deschambault-Perron and Caden Arthur both had two goals.

 

UNIVERSEL SHERBROOKE 7, THUNDER HOCKEY CLUB 2

Universel Sherbrooke had six different goal scorers in this convincing win. Justin Thibault fired home two goals, while Mathieu Bourelle, Maxence Brouillette, Simon Gauthier and Theo Trudel each had a goal and assist. Loic Drapeau also had a goal. Katoyan Stoyanov and Ivan Smirnov had goals for the Thunder.

 

SOUTH SHORE KINGS 6, SOMANG HOCKEY 0

The Kings exploded for four first period goals en route to an eventual 6-0 blanking of Somang Hockey. Chase Murray (12) and Jack Signorelli (3) combined for the 15-save shutout, and Logan Souza, Jordan Sheppard, Marcus Vargas, Chase Petrella, Walker White and Rory Gately each had a goal.

 

ISLANDERS HOCKEY CLUB 6, UNVERSEL GATINEAU 0

The Islanders scored three goals in a 47-second span in the first period and never looked back, blanking Universel Gatineau. Nicholas Posthumus, Jameson Yackmack and Damian Kostadins scored in rapid fashion for that quick 3-0 lead. Joey Spivak also had a first period goal, and Yackmack and Scott Allan added third period markers. Greyson Henry had to make just 17 saves for the shutout.

Boston Junior Bruins Shootout | Day 2 Recap

Montreal Knights 4 vs. Hershey Cubs 3

Cristiano Ferreira got the Knights on the board in the first and the Cubs countered in the second period on a goal by Jacob Lefebvre. The Knights then scored three third period goals by Ferreira, Michael Funaro and Adriano Lisio to win 4-3.

Laval VC Academy 9 vs. Islanders HC 0

A four-goal game from Emanuel Di Paolo helped Laval VC Academy to a big 9-0 win over the Islanders HC. Matthew Santos, Nicolas Verdon, Matteo Pazzia, Massimo Comito and Justin Boivin also scored.

 

Red River Spartans 4 vs. Springfield Pics 0

Logan Almeida (2), Mykota Popov and Benjamin Ferguson helped lead the Spartans to a 4-0 shutout win over the Pics. Dominic Filizetti had 23 saves in goal.

Islanders Hockey Club 4, Hershey Cubs 1

Goals by Ian Nixon, Chris Cassesso and Parker Renwick in a 1:17 span late in the second period snapped a 1-1 and propelled IHC to a solid 4-1 win over the Cubs. Cassesso’s first goal staked the Islanders to a 1-0 lead. Jacob Lefebvre tied it up later in the first period for the Cubs.

MONTREAL KNIGHTS 3,  RED RIVER SPARTANS 0

Adriano Lisio scored the only goal Montreal would need in the first period, and Pietro Omobono tacked on two second period goals to power the Knights to the shutout win. In goal, Donatos Padula had 18 saves.

LAVAL VC ACADEMY 8 , SOUTH SHORE KINGS 4

Two-goal performances from Justin Boivin and Matthew Santos were the difference as Laval VC Academy doubled up the South Shore Kings. Gianluca Donato Lemme, Kylevin Madrona, Emmaneul Di Paolo and Nicolas Verdon also scored for Laval. Chris Holmes, Kolby Smith, Bryce Bishop and Jack Curry countered for the Kings.
