The Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League has joined The Junior Hockey News as a content, and advertising partner.
A new league under the United Hockey Union and Amateur Athletic Union banner, the CPJHL has been hard at work all spring and summer getting organized for the coming season.
Scouting and recruiting efforts for the CPJHL began in April. When much of North America was either competing in playoffs, or resting from a long season, the CPJHL scouts were already on the road scouting.
The commitment to developing quality athletes and opportunity for those athletes has been at the forefront from the beginning. Immediately the CPJHL decided to have a showcase, and almost immediately they decided they wanted TJHN to help.
The First Annual CPJHL Showcase will take place December 13th, through 15th, 2016 at the venerable Pullar Stadium in Sault St. Marie Michigan. The schedule will be released next week.
From CPJHL Commissioner Bryan Elliott: “The CPJHL is all about development and any time we can get exposure for our players with NCAA Coaches and Scouts from higher levels of Junior Hockey, then it’s a win -win for everyone.”
One of the CPJHL founding team owners Stephane Lavault said “From the very beginning, team owners were committed to getting players to a Showcase in the United States. We are very excited for this opportunity.”
Stay tuned to TJHN for more news on the CPJHL as the season begins for them in just over a week.
