TIMMINS, Ont. – Jon Marzec had the game-winning goal in the third period and an earlier assist to help the Cochrane Crunch edge the Timmins Rock 4-3 Saturday in a Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League match-up at McIntyre Arena.
Cochrane collected the only tally of the first frame as Tyler Minoletti scored for the 15th time this season.
Things opened up offensively in the middle session with the two sides combining for five markers, including three by Timmins.

Seamus Maguire put the visitors back up by two 80 seconds later only to see the home team’s Jordan Rendle supply another man advantage effort at 7:08.
Timmins came back again on the next shift and tied it as Tristan Salesse knotted the affair with his 25th goal of the campaign.
In the third it was Marzec, who picked up the decider with Cochrane holding on from there to secure the victory.
Brett Young was busy in the Crunch net making 42 saves in picking up the win.
