Friday Highlights: Trio of overtime comebacks

Brampton Steelheads 3 at London Knights 4 (OT)

  • San Jose Sharks prospect Sam Dickinson had a four point performance including two goals and the overtime game winning goal for the London Knights
  • The Steelheads opened the scoring in this edition of the Friday Night Faceoff with a pair of first period goals from NHL Draft prospect Porter Martone and Gabe Chiarot
  • Gabe Chiarot added a second goal in the third period to finish with two goals on the night and briefly give the Steelheads a lead
  • San Jose Sharks prospect Kasper Halttunen tied the game just 23 seconds after Chiarot’s go-ahead goal with his 11th of the year which would force overtime
  • Aleksei Medvedev continued his stellar NHL Draft eligible season as he stopped 34 of 37 shots in the overtime victory

Windsor Spitfires 5 at Sarnia Sting 6 (OT)

  • Lukas Fischer had a four point performance (1G, 3A) including the overtime game winning goal to complete the comeback for Sarnia
  • Sarnia scored four straight goals en route to their come from behind victory
  • Washington Capitals prospect Ilya Protas and Los Angeles Kings prospect Liam Greentree each had four point performances for the Spitfires (2G, 2A)
  • Liam Greentree recorded his 40th goal of the season and the 100th goal of his OHL career
  • Beckham Edwards also had a pair of goals for the Sting as he surpassed the 20 goal mark on the season
  • Ruslan Karimov’s 12th goal of the season forced overtime in the last minute of regulation
  • Evan Maillet made 42 saves in the overtime victory

Guelph Storm 3 at Soo Greyhounds 4 (OT)

  • Chase Reid completed the comeback for the Greyhounds as he potted the OT winner for his fourth goal of the season
  • Marco Mignosa played a big role in the Soo’s come from behind victory with his three point performance (1G, 2A)
  • Travis Hayes had a two point night (1G, 1A) including the game tying goal with 1:24 left to play to force overtime
  • Jake Karabela opened the scoring late in the first period for the Storm
  • After a scoreless second period the Storm would score two more goals in the third courtesy of Charlie Paquette and Alex McLean to take a 3-1 lead
  • Detroit Red Wings prospect Landon Miller backstopped his team with a strong performance in goal as he made 32 saves in the overtime win

Oshawa Generals 3 at Erie Otters 2

  • The Oshawa Generals score two unanswered goals to complete a comeback victory in regulation
  • Brooks Rogowski scored the game winning goal midway through the final frame
  • The Generals complete the season series sweep against the Erie Otters
  • Pano Fimis and Sam Alfano both had two point games for the Otters as they each scored and assisted on each other’s goals
  • Isaac Gravelle stopped 25 shots for Oshawa to earn his eighth win of the season

North Bay Battalion 4 at Flint Firebirds 1

  • Fourth year defenceman Bronson Ride had a strong game for the Troops as he scored and had an assist for a two point performance
  • North Bay goaltender Mike McIvor made 31 saves to record his 16th win of the season
  • Jacob Therrien opened the scoring in the second period and recorded an assist on Bronson Ride’s game winning goal
  • Matthew Wang scored the lone goal of the game for the Firebirds

Brantford Bulldogs 2 at Kingston Frontenacs 4

  • Gage Heyes scored a pair of unanswered goals late in the second and third periods to lift the Frontenacs to victory
  • Calgary Flames prospect Jacob Battaglia had a three point performance (1G, 2A) as he played a key part in the come from behind victory
  • Vegas Golden Knights prospect Tuomas Uronen opened the scoring for Kingston with his 33rd goal of the season in the first period
  • Washington Capitals prospect Patrick Thomas recorded his 90th point of the season as he scored his 23rd goal early in the second period
  • Charlie Schenkel stopped 17 shots for the Frontenacs in the victory, Buffalo Sabres prospect Ryerson Leenders made 31 saves on 34 shots for the Bulldogs in the loss

Barrie Colts 1 at Kitchener Rangers 4

  • The Kitchener Rangers won the game on the back of their three goal second period
  • NHL Draft prospect Cameron Reid scored the game winning goal midway through the middle frame
  • Cameron Arquette scored a pair of goals for the Rangers to hit the seven goal mark on the year and lift his Kitchener Rangers to a win
  • Bode Stewart scored his fifth goal of the season in the third period, which would stand as the lone goal of the game for the Colts
  • Jackson Parsons continued his stellar season for the Kitchener Rangers as he stopped 17 shots to earn his 31st victory of the year
  • Ben Hrebik put up a strong performance for Barrie as he made 32 saves on 35 shots to keep them in it all the way until the end

Niagara IceDogs 2 at Ottawa 67’s 6

  • Columbus Blue Jackets prospect and Ottawa 67’s captain Luca Pinelli reached the 30 goal mark for the second straight season
  • The 67’s opened the game with three unanswered first period goals, including Josh Brady’s fifth of the season that would stand as the game winning goal
  • Niagara loses their ninth straight game, the IceDogs have allowed 56 goals in that nine game span
  • Mike Levin opened the scoring for the IceDogs midway through the first period with his 12th goal of the season
  • Alex Assadourian added a third period goal for Niagara to make it 5-2 but Jack Dever would score midway through the third period for Ottawa to ice it
  • Jaeden Nelson stopped 25 shots for his 12th win of the season and third win of 2025

Owen Sound Attack 1 at Sudbury Wolves 8

  • Seattle Kraken prospect Nathan Villeneuve had a four point performance, contributing two goals and two assists in the blowout victory
  • Jack Ziliotto had his first career multi-goal game in the OHL as he put home a pair including the game opening goal
  • Nate Krawchuk stopped 30 of 31 shots faced for the Wolves en route to his 19th win of the season
  • San Jose Sharks prospect Quentin Musty also had a four point night as he assisted on four goals
  • The Wolves scored eight straight goals to take this one at home
  • Cole Zurawski’s 11th goal of the season came midway through the third period and was the lone goal of the game for the Owen Sound Attack
