POWASSAN, Ont. – A Marc-Antoine Arseneau marker with 6:39 remaining lifted the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners to a 3-2 come from behind victory over the Powassan Voodoos Saturday in Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League action at the Powassan Sportsplex.

The Voodoos took the lead with the lone goal of the opening period as Alexi Rivet connected at 8:06 of the frame.

Powassan then went up 2-0 early in the middle session as David Walker collected his sixth of the campaign just past the two minute mark of the stanza.

Special teams allowed the Gold Miners to start their comeback when Arseneau struck on the power play 14:47 into the second.

Kirkland Lake tied it at 12:26 of the third on an unassisted effort by Brett Ouderkirk.

Arseneau then supplied the game-winner 55 seconds later as the visitors held on from there to secure the win.

Garrett Forrest started for Powassan and played two periods allowing just the one against on 21 attempts before giving way to Mario Cavaliere to begin the third.
