NIAGARA, ON — The Niagara IceDogs have added another exciting piece to their roster, announcing the signing of forward Ryerson Edgar to an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Scholarship and Development Agreement. The 2009-born forward brings a combination of grit, speed, and scoring touch to the IceDogs’ lineup as the team continues to build toward a competitive future.
Edgar, selected by Niagara 10th overall in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, has been turning heads with his strong play at the U16 . Known for his high motor and two-way awareness, Edgar spent last season with the York-Simcoe Express U16 AAA, where he posted 33 goals and 27 assists for 60 points in 32 games between the Regular Season and Playoffs.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Ryerson and his family to the IceDogs organization,” said IceDogs General Manager Frank Evola. “He plays the game the right way — he’s responsible, competitive, and has the ability to produce offensively. He’s a player our fans are going to love watching develop.”
Welcome to Dog Country, Ryerson!
