In Memoriam: Rest In Peace, Braydin Lewis

The United States Premier Hockey League joins the Metro Jets and all of those who knew Braydin Lewis in extending our sincerest condolences to his family as well as his Jets family. May He Rest In Peace. #47Forever

By Matt Mackinder / Metro Jets

It is with heavy hearts to share the news that our warrior, Braydin Lewis, lost his battle with cancer late last night (April 15) with family by his side.

“Lewey” started with the Jets in 2020. The defenseman was a force to be reckoned with, and was a fan favorite and beloved by everyone.

After his cancer diagnosis last summer, he was determined to return to the ice for his third season. Not only did he return, but played while undergoing treatment. Lewey’s strength and willingness was an inspiration to the team and he showed up to support his teammates at every opportunity.

All of our thoughts and prayers are with Braydin’s family at this time.

We will never forget you, Lewey. Never. We love you.

More information to come…
