Introducing The TJHN Awards

The Junior Hockey News is pleased to announce that we will be adding a new feature each season.  Starting May 31st, 2014, TJHN will be announcing the winners of what will be an Annual Award for Coach, and Player Of The Year.

These awards will be issued to the Top Coaches and Players in Major Junior, USHL, NAHL, NOJHL, OJHL, SIJHL, and Tier III Hockey in the United States.  More leagues in Canada may also be added and may request to be added by emailing TJHN [email protected]

The TJHN awards will be issued based upon reader, team, player, and fan nominations; followed by voting that will combine reader polls as well as polling of appropriate peer groups for the nominated candidates.

Readers, teams, players and fans can nominate a Coach or Player for the annual awards by sending an email that includes:

1.  Player or Coach Name

2.  Team played for or Coached

3.  Contact information for that Player or Coach

4.  In 500 words or less, describe why the Player or Coach deserves the award.  Entries with more than 500 words will be disqualified.

Entries may be submitted starting today through March 31st, 2014.  Reader voting will take place April 1st through April 30th, 2014, followed by Peer Review and Voting that will conclude May 21st, with the Awards being announced May 31st, 2014.
