North Division
Forward: Gabriel Pelchat, South Shore Kings
Pelchat (‘04/Sainte-Julie, Que.) had a very productive IHC Showcase, starting it with a 2-2-4 line against the P.A.L. Jr. Islanders on Thursday, and then he added another goal against the Rockets Hockey Club. Following the event, he also had a goal against the Boston Advantage in a shootout win that closed the month’s games on Nov. 22.
Defense: Conor Lally, Boston Advantage
Lally (‘02/Scarborough, Maine) registered an assist in all three showcase games and one more on Nov. 22 against the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs to boot. He has a goal and four assists over his last five games, carrying that streak into the holiday break and into December as well. He now has 42 points in 70 career NCDC games, all with the Advantage.
Goaltender: Connor Strobel, Islanders Hockey Club
The second-year Islander Strobel (‘02/Butler, Pa.) put together two strong victories at the IHC Showcase, first defeating the Utica Jr. Comets and then taking down the league’s points and winning percentage leaders the Jersey Hitmen. He stopped 66 of 68 shots faced in the two wins for a .970 save percentage. He faced over 100 shots on the weekend, stopping 98 of 105 total.
South Division
Forward: Panayioti Efraimidis, Jersey Hitmen
Efraimidis (‘03/St-Laurent, Que.) was feeling generous throughout the IHC Showcase, passing out five assists along with scoring two goals of his own. He has 16 assists in 16 games this season, and 18 points in the 14 games he’s played with the Hitmen since a trade from the Boston Junior Bruins.
Defense: Jack Barbro, Rockets Hockey Club
Barbro (‘02/Loudonville, N.Y.) gives the Rockets two blueliners in the top five of NCDC defenseman scoring, the only team so honored. Along with fellow defenseman Jonah Copre (22 points in 22 games), Barbro is clicking at a 9-7-16 scoring rate in 22 games, including three goals and three assists this past week at the IHC Showcase.
Goaltender: Zack Ferris, Rockets Hockey Club
Ferris (‘05/Venetia, Pa.) racked up a pair of wins over the weekend, giving up just one goal against each of the South Shore Kings and New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs. He stopped 49 of 51 shots over the weekend to improve to 7-5-0-1 on the season with a .910 save percentage,
