P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 6, Islanders Hockey Club 3
Nicholas Bevilacqua made 29 saves on 32 shots against the Islanders Hockey Club to claim his 26th win of the year and his 48th victory of his career, which tied former South Shore Kings and Jersey Hitmen goalie Evan Szary – now with Army – for No. 1 all-time in the NCDC. Ryan Kearney (2-2-4) and Ty Broad (1-3-4) each put up four-point games for the winners, who are 30 points ahead of their closest competition in the Atlantic Division.
Mercer Chiefs 6, Boston Junior Bruins 3
Jameson Klein registered a goal and two assists for three points, while Dylan Young and David VanIterson each registered a goal and an assist. Nickita Moiseev registered two assists, and Peter Pirone stopped 20 of 23 shots in net.
South Shore Kings 3, Rockets Hockey Club 2 (OT)
The Kings’ Thomas Delfarno, who played in the #NCDCAllStars game on Jan. 15, scored the OT game-winner for his team against the host Rockets. Ryan Keyes stopped 22 of 24 shots. On the Rockets side, Sam Blanton and Ivan Anoshko each went 1-1-2.
Jersey Hitmen 6, Northern Cyclones 1
Jayar Luedke, Jameson O’Flynn and Tommy Holtby each had a goal and an assist, and Daniel Prazma registered two assists in a big win for the Jersey Hitmen. Daniel Moor (who joined Holtby in the NCDC Young Guns Game on Jan. 15) stopped 29 of 30 for a big victory.
Utica Jr. Comets 4, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 1
Cameron Golovin opened the scoring with his first NCDC goal, followed by Niko Benjamin, Tommy Shore and Alexander Keller each scored goals in the Utica win. Waylon Esche stopped 20 of 21 shots for the victory.
Twin City Thunder 1, Connecticut Jr. Rangers 0
It was all about Jeffrey Kreidler, as he stopped all 52 shots he faced from the Connecticut Jr. Rangers. He couldn’t get the win however without a goal from Jack MacDonald, his fourth of the year.
Provo Predators 5, Utah Outliers 3
Ryan Roethke had a goal and an assist and Luke Faas put up two assists to help the Predators defeat the Outliers, a team directly ahead of them in the standings. Michael Polston stopped 33 of 36 shots for the victory. The Outliers, in second place, are seven points ahead of Provo.
Idaho Falls Spud Kings 4, Rock Springs Grizzlies 1
Owen Pitters scored two goals, Jackson Beach had a goal and an assist, and Brayden Lewis and D.J. MacLeish each had two assists for a big Idaho Falls victory. Tucker Inabinet stopped 37 of 38 shots for the victory.
Pueblo Bulls 4, Ogden Mustangs 3 (OT)
Cooper Owens’ fourth of the year was the GWG, and Nate Farrell had a goal and an assist in a big win for the Bulls as they continue their push for a playoff spot down the stretch. Beau Altman stopped 29 of 32 shots for the win.
