Boston Dogs 6, Boston Jr. Rangers 4

Owen Penny (’04/Livonia, Mich.) put up two goals and one assist towards the victory. Picking up a goal and an assist apiece were Ty Gwatkin (’05/Lyndonville, Vt.), Nikolas Reich (’06/Sunrise, Fla.) and Nathan McDougall (’04/Gatineau, Que.) Ayden Pierce (’04/Oshawa, Ont.) put up 20 saves on 24 shots.

 

Worcester Railers JHC 2, Thunder Hockey Club 1

Josh Erickson (05/Bradenton, Fla.) scored the regulation GWG and Mason Jones (’05/Auburn, N.Y.) stopped 22 of 23 shots in his Railers debut for the win. Patrick Dotson (’05/Bronxville, N.Y.) registered two assists in the win, as well.

 

Islanders Hockey Club 4, Utica Jr. Comets 2

Cameron Stehle (’06/Raleigh, N.C.) registered a goal and an assist, and Joseph Samango (’05/Havertown, Pa.) posted two assists. Braxton Castagno (’04/Tyngsboro, Mass.) put up 27 saves on 29 shots. Castagno made the return to the USPHL after having played at the 15U level with the Northern Cyclones in 2019-20.

 

South Shore Kings 4, Seacoast Spartans 2

The Kings got a goal and an assist from Sacred Heart University reruit Jack DesRuisseaux (’04/Manchester, N.H.) Jason Zaccari (’05/Santa Ana, Calif.) earned two assists, and Beau Lane (’04/Pembroke, Mass.) stopped 27 of 29 shots for the win in net.

 

P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 5, Jersey Hitmen 2

The Jr. Islanders defeated the Hitmen, 5-2, extending their winning streak to four games. Arthur Mirante (’04/Garden City, N.Y.) registered a goal and two assists. Ivan Zelenov (’06/Moskva, Russia) had two assists, and Ryan McKenna (’04/Garden City, N.Y.) had a goal and an assist.

 

West Chester Wolves 3, Connecticut Jr. Rangers 2 (OT)

The Wolves were overtime winners on Friday night, with the winner coming off the stick of Bryan Weissler (’04/Floral Park, N.Y.) Emil Szepesi (’06/Timra, Sweden) scored twice, and both Kai Mencel (06/San Diego, Calif.) and Anton Berg (’04/Malmo, Sweden) Griffin Davis (’05/Nashua, N.H.) made 38 saves on 40 shots in the win.

 

Idaho Falls Spud Kings 5, Casper Warbirds 3

The Spud Kings have won five in a row and they took over the Mountain Division lead on Friday. All-Star defenseman D.J. MacLeish (’05/Troy, Mich.) scored a goal and two assists. William Strickland (’06/Westerville, Ohio) and Lucas Rauner (’05/Esko, Minn.) put up two assists. Easton Edwards (’05/Anchorage, Alaska) put up a goal and an assist.

 

Utah Outliers 6, Pueblo Bulls 4

The Outliers came back from a Thursday loss to defeat the host Pueblo Bulls on Friday. All-Star Justin Obrochta (’06/Garden Grove, Calif.) had two goals, and fellow All-Stars Garrett Joss (04/Whitby, Ont.) and Makar Klochkov (’04/Orange County, Calif.) each had a goal and an assist. Zakhar Meshcheriakov (’06/Phoenix, Ariz.) also had a 1-1-2 line. In net, Jeffrey Fillion (’04/Chicoutimi, Que.) made 20 saves.

 

Ogden Mustangs 5, Rock Springs Grizzlies 3

The Mustangs earned a much-needed win on Friday to try and keep pace with the division-leading Spud Kings just two points ahead of them. Four of the team’s All-Stars shone brightly on Friday. Roman Cherniak (’04/Desert Blume, Alb.) scored two goals and one assist, while University of Notre Dame recruit Jackson Walsh (’05/Northville, Mich.) put up a goal and an assist. In net, Dilans Birkans (’06/Ilskile, Latvia) made 27 saves on 30 shots for the win.
