NCDC To USHL Pipeline: Boston Junior Bruins Defenseman Brown To Finish Season With Dubuque

The Boston Junior Bruins’ 2006-born defenseman Julian Brown has been called up for the remainder of the season to the United States Hockey League’s Dubuque Fighting Saints.

Brown, the ninth overall draft pick in the 2022 NCDC Entry Draft by the Junior Bruins, was also selected in the 2022 USHL Futures Draft by the Fighting Saints with the 42nd selection in the third round.

This past season, Brown – born in April 2006 – was the second-youngest NCDC regular, second only to Junior Bruins teammate Joseph Mense, born in July 2006. Brown registered a goal and seven assists for eight points in 42 games. He was also selected for, and played in, the NCDC Young Guns All-Star Game in February.

“Julian grew a lot as a player with us this season. He has a world of physical ability and I’m really excited to watch his continued success and growth as a hockey player in the USHL. He’s going to be a good one,” said Junior Bruins Head Coach Mike Anderson.

Dubuque has eight games remaining to its regular season, including three games this weekend against Muskegon Friday at home, and a home-and-home against the Madison Capitols on Saturday and Sunday, starting in Madison. They end the regular season April 21-22 against Waterloo in the Dupaco Cowbell Cup between the two historic eastern Iowa rivals.
