The OLCN Scouts closed out their season in style on March 31, defeating the Calgary Bandits, 6-3, to cap off a championship run for the first ever USPHL Premier Alberta Division winners.
OLCN set the tone early with two first-period goals and never trailed, adding four more in the third to pull away and secure the victory. Henry Thunderblanket led the way with two goals, including a key insurance marker early in the third period, while Devante Pratt, Eli Quinney, Lee Burden, and Mason Sauvie each found the back of the net. The Scouts outshot Calgary 39-36 and capitalized on timely scoring to maintain control throughout.
Calgary pushed back with goals from Nicholas Rollinmud, Maksym Onatskyi, and Hayden Klugerman, but the Bandits were unable to close the gap after OLCN’s third-period surge.
With the win, the Scouts officially lock in as Alberta Division Champions, finishing the season atop the standings and carrying strong momentum into the postseason.
