Victoria, B.C.- Victoria Royals veteran Brayden Boehm has announced his commitment to Michigan Tech University.
The 21-year-old will join the Huskies for the 2025-26 season upon the conclusion of his WHL eligibility.
“I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to play NCAA Division 1 Hockey at Michigan Tech,” Boehm said. “I want to thank my family, coaches, teammates and everyone who has helped me along the way! So excited for my future ahead.”
Boehm has 15 goals and 24 assists for 39 points in 44 games.
He’s tied for third in goals, second in powerplay tallies and fourth in assists on the Royals.
The Nanaimo, B.C. product’s career-best year has included four games where he recorded three or more points, highlighted by a two-goal, two-assist effort against the Regina Pats on December 3, 2024.

Medicine Hat selected Boehm with the 37th overall pick in the second round of the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft.
He went on to play parts of five seasons with the Tigers before being traded to his home island Royals early in the 2024-25 season.
Boehm is closing in on major milestones with 46 goals and 62 assists for 108 points in 194 regular-season games. He’s also appeared in four playoff matches.
Victoria (25-13-3-5) is 7-2-0-1 in its last 10 games to lead the B.C. Division and sit second in the Western Conference.
The Royals are back in action on Wednesday, January 29 as they visit the Kelowna Rockets (16-22-4-1) in a B.C. Division showdown.
