Season Preview: Florida Division

The Elite Florida Division sets the stage for high-paced, competitive hockey this season. Featuring six dynamic programs, the division promises storylines ranging from veteran experience to exciting first-year talent. Here’s a look at each team as they gear up for what’s ahead.

Bold City Battalion

A formidable presence returning for another season, the Battalion look to assert themselves early in the division. With a balanced mix of players hungry for success and familiarity with the division’s pace, they’re poised to challenge on every shift.

Coral Springs Jr. Cats

Known for their grit and versatility, the Jr. Cats continue to rely on a hardworking core. Expect them to bring energy and physicality night in and night out, and to compete through depth and team-first values.

Florida Eels

The Eels are set for another strong season with a roster that blends experience and proven league talent. Their forward group looks fast, skilled, and defensively reliable, giving them a strong foundation heading into 2025-26.

Key returners include two-way standout Cochran, deadline additions Indelicato and Hobbs, puck-moving defenseman Pederson, and the speedy Charron. Veteran Morris enters his third year in the league, while the Becker brothers, Gidlund, and Bikakis are expected to take on bigger roles.

New faces add even more strength, with Melnychuk bringing size and mobility on defense and Gedman adding scoring punch after a 20-goal season. Klieman-Lee and D’Ambrosio impressed at showcases, while Hambling and Elzinga are both candidates to push toward the Premier level.

Florida Junior Blades

Continuing to develop solid programs, the Jr. Blades mix returning depth with fresh recruits. They focus on building a dependable structure and consistent performance throughout the season.

Tampa Bay Juniors

A long-standing Florida power, the Juniors bring balanced rosters and playoff pedigree. Expect relentless effort, strategic depth, and a focused approach toward maintaining their competitive edge.

Typhoon Hockey Club

The Typhoon enter their second season with confidence, having built a group that combines talent, work ethic, and character. Team culture and hunger are expected to be their greatest strengths as they look to climb the standings in 2025-26.

Leadership returns to guide the roster, giving the team valuable experience and continuity from last year’s inaugural season.

Among the newcomers, Andrej Maas, Nathan Kostadina, Adam Gorcsakovszky, and Ryan Von Grünigen bring fresh energy and developmental upside. Their progression will be key in helping the Typhoon establish themselves as a consistent contender in the division.
