Sofo makes NCAA DI commitment

The Amarillo Wranglers of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Jase Sofo has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the University of St. Thomas (CCHA).

Sofo, 20, is in his third season of playing junior hockey, which has been spent between the NAHL and the NA3HL. The 6’3/190 lbs. native of Sylvania, OH, has played in 17 games so far during the 2022-23 season and recorded six assists.

“I am very honored to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey at the University of St. Thomas. I’d like to thank all of my family, coaches, and friends who helped me along the way,” said Sofo on social media.

Sofo made his NAHL debut with the then Amarillo Bulls during the Fall of 2020, appearing in four games and recording three points.

He then joined the North Iowa Bulls in the NA3HL for the second half of the 2020-21 season, appearing in 24 games and recording 10 points.

During the 2021-22 season, he spent the entire season in the NAHL with the Wranglers, recording nine points in 52 games played.
