Its another beautiful Monday morning isn’t it kids?! Fall is here, and hockey season is pretty much in full swing. Well that is for most teams anyway.
Throughout this week I will be updating all the teams on the Death Watch. Yeah, I know that may take more than a week, but hey I am up for it.
Turns out there are still a bunch of teams out there that are not playing with what anyone would consider a full or competitive roster. By the way I am getting a real kick out of the teams signing players cut from Midget AA too, that’s just priceless.
Yep, you cant make a AAA team kid, but you can sure sign with us because we need your money. Thanks for stopping in and oh yeah, we will get you to college too! Yep, you’re gonna play NCAA hockey kid, just make sure mom and dad get that check in on time.
Speaking of getting checks in on time, it looks like the Colorado Evolution in the WSHL were able to import enough players from the Ukraine to save their asses. Great to start off with three losses, but hey, its almost impossible for us to do worse than last years 5 and 41 record! Isn’t it? Ha Ha Ha
Staying out west, lets look at the Tri City Outlaws in the NPHL, also known as the Nor Pac. In a mysterious manner, it turns out that their games for this past opening weekend were cancelled. Can you believe it?
You don’t think that the Outlaws would report 7 players protected on USA Hockey would actually have more player signed do you? Come one, filling out that protected list must have just slipped the mind of management.
Hmmmmmmm, isn’t it strange though that somehow, the arena would double book the ice for this past weekend, and then not give it to the junior team? Even stranger is that it just happens to be the same team with only seven players protected.
Ohhhhh I know they are telling the league some story. But hey, do you think the emails we are getting from people that are inside of the situation are lies? Who would do such a thing to their own team? Must be someone is off their lithium.
The RMJHL’s Glacier Yeti’s still aren’t reporting any players on the USA Hockey protected lists. Can you believe that? Seems like less than a half dozen signings have been announced on various social media accounts too. But what the hell would anyone want to announce player signings on their website for?
I mean really, its easy to keep people in the dark and ask them for thousands of dollars isn’t it? Shit Bernie Madoff did it for years.
