The Death Pool – Special Report – Desperate Tier III Teams Take Desperate Measures

Oh hell yeah kids, its panic button Friday!  What’s better than panic button Friday?  Not a whole hell of a lot honestly, but take down Mondays are pretty good too.

So you guys are gonna love this stuff.  Turns out some teams are just throwing professional courtesy out the freaking window now.

You know when coaches say shit like;

Hey Bob, yeah I know you signed with XXXXXXXXX in the NPHL, but you can come here since we are not USA Hockey and play for half of what your paying there.  Just pack up and leave, there is nothing they can do about it.

or

Steve, I know you signed a contract with XXXXXXXX in the USPHL, but you can get out of it if you tell them you want a release before September 1st.

or

Look, don’t worry about the other contract.  They aren’t in our league and if you come here you only have to pay for your billet.  Your going to save a lot of money and get a lot more ice time.

or

Hey I know I just folded the one team, but come on and play for my other team.  If you don’t like it there you can leave. (wink wink nudge nudge)

That’s right kids, teams are so panicked they are willing to poach players that are already signed to other teams.  They just don’t care any more.  Jobs are on the line and owners are finally figuring out they may have made a dumb move by owning a team and believing there would be enough players.

Maybe someone should restart the Tropical Elite Hockey League next year!  Ha Ha Ha  Just kidding there folks, there wasn’t anything elite about it! Ha Ha Ha

For those keeping score, TJHN will be offering a reverse fantasy junior hockey league next year.  We will be starting a Death Pool League in June where you can pick your fantasy team of at least 12 players that will fold.  That’s right, lets make a game out of this.  Seriously.  We are going to do this.
