Hey kids its a beautiful Wednesday morning. I am on the road again doing a little scouting assignment and training with the boss tomorrow.
So, can you get enough of this Flint Firebirds fiasco? I mean seriously, how big of a joke has Rolf Nilsen made of the OHL in his first season?
Fire the coaches because your kid isn’t getting enough ice time for your Ten Million Dollar pay to play fee? Then rehire the coaches to longer contracts after the public kicks your ass on message boards and the press makes you look like a total bafoon?
Oh yeah and lets not forget the ass kicking you just took from David Branch when he had to make a special trip to Flint this week to clean up your mess! Way to go Rolf! You really started your tenure as an OHL owner off just great, how long that tenure will be now is up for debate.
So yeah, you rehire the coaches with a contract extension too? Ummmmm whats that tell ya folks? Tells me that the league stepped in and said the coaches are back in or you are out.
Never fear though, Rolf Nilsen is a business professional. He knows when he needs help, and he has gone out and hired one of the best team consultants there is. HE knows Flint, and some might say HE is Flint personified.
The Flint Firebirds welcome;
That’s right kids, rumor has it that the Firebirds have hired Jackie Moon to take over business operations. This could be the smartest move made by the Tropics, errr Firebirds, in there young season. Moon was scheduled to be introduced at a team press conference held after the 11:00 PM news last night, at an abandoned movie theater, but due to inappropriate levels of intoxication, a cardboard cutout of Moon was used instead.
Early rumors have Flint Firebirds owner Rolf Nilsen wrestling a bear on ice in a suit made out of porterhouse steaks as post game entertainment some time next month.
Stay tuned fans, its shit like this that keeps life interesting!
