Good Thursday Morning Kids! Thanks to the boys at In The O Radio for the tip the other day on the death of the Grey County Grizzlies! Give those boys a follow on twitter, always good stuff coming from them.
So anyway, the GMHL has lost another team. All we can say is thank god this team is dead. An embarrassment to even call that organization a junior hockey team.
Considering the only game this team ever won was against the almost as horrendous Colborne Chiefs, this really was a mercy killing. This team was so bad they would get outshot by three to one margins, and get beat by double digit scores! I mean you cant make this shit up people!
Classy is one word no one would use for anyone that allows this garbage to take place. And people wonder why everyone in hockey looks at what the GMHL does and asks “what the hell are these guys thinking?”. Seriously, this is the same league that’s looking to expand again next year!
Then again, when you get some idiot who wants to write you a check for a franchise, its probably hard to say no to it. I mean we all got bills to pay right? Is it unethical to take money for something you know has a high probability for failure? Naaaaaahhhhhhhh
Is it immoral to take money from parents after you make them promises you know you cant come close to keeping? Naaaaahhhhhhhhhh Is it wrong to tell players absolute bullshit stories about paying to play pro hockey in Europe, and giving kickbacks from wannbe Agents praying on their naïve clients? Naaaaaaah
Really though, the league has a ton of classy operators, and some awesome talent for men’s league teams to pick up in the future. I think the Pabst Blue Ribbon league of Mexico City is holding their draft in the spring and I am hearing a lot of these GMHL owners are investing in the league. Pay to play pro hockey in Mexico! Now that’s an idea that someone can run with!
Hey kids, come back on Friday and spend some time on the Death Pool store where its always Black someday!
