The Death Pool – Special Report – We Have Our First Casualty

Oh yeah kids, its Friday.  I got the golf clubs ready to go, and what do you know, I get a call to put them away and pick up the shovel!

So here I am digging a hole when I should be playing the first hole.  Oh well, we don’t want to leave this first body of the 2015-2016 season out in the heat!  I hate the flies these things attract! Ha Ha Ha

So lets all say so long to the Greater Metro Hockey League’s Cambridge Bears.  Yes, though we hardly knew you and really wont notice you are gone with your 8-33-0-1 record, at least you wont be sinking up arena’s this season.

Thee beauty of this is the team practically wrote its own suicide note!  Owners blaming it on ice time, and other teams having better connections to Europe and the United States to recruit players.

The best excuse though was when ownership pointed out that there were 7 other GMHL teams in the Cambridge area as well as all the other Hockey Canada sanctioned Junior B and C programs.  Yep, that would certainly suck wouldn’t it?!  But hey dumb ass you knew this when you put the team in that market to begin with!

And oh yeah dummy isn’t your ownership group one of the ones that keeps on putting in more expansion teams!?!

Sometimes kids, you simply cant explain how stupid some of these owners look when they open their mouths.

But hey, this is only the beginning for the GMHL and other leagues in the United States.  Enjoy the weekend kids, its going to get busy here in The Death Pool.
