Well hell, I though I was gonna have a slow December. I mean I wasn’t expecting any more teams getting killed off until the holiday break ended.
Oh yeah, stay tuned for that special time of year when players decide they don’t want to return to the team that treats them like shit. That wonderful time when owners and coaches shrug their shoulders and say “I don’t know what happened”! Priceless I tell ya, just priceless.
So yeah, thanks to Pucklax for the tip on this one. Seriously, we really need and want your tips because these leagues don’t like when truth gets out. You know, because they think news is not something you are entitled to sometimes, well unless its good news glorifying what they do.
But hey, the North West Junior Hockey League, located up in British Columbia and Alberta actually put out a statement on the Beaverlodge Blades folding. A brief statement, but hey, at least they kept people informed and you know like told the truth instead of trying to cover it up.

The NWJHL wishes to announce that the Beaverlodge Blades have ceased operations for the remainder of the 2016/17 season. The NWJHL wishes to thank Beaverlodge for their efforts thus far and wishes them the best.”
You got to love the name though don’t you? I mean how can any team named Beverlodge, not make it through the year?
But yeah, that’s the good news. See the team was freakin 1-21-0 . Not exactly tearing up the league with that win loss record. But hey they were way better than the winless Buffalo Regals! Ha Ha Ha But, more on those pesky Buffalo Regals tomorrow.
Anyway, the NWJHL is now down to six teams. Six teams for the living way the hell in the middle of nowhere is not bad boys. Stick with your six and keep rolling next year.
So, now I got to get the tundra heated up, thawed out, and dig deep. Maybe I will plan ahead and dig a few extra holes for the holidays. You know, just sticking with the holiday spirit and all.
