So, you’re a player that would like to get drafted by a junior hockey team. Do you understand the process? Do you understand just what teams are looking for? How are you going to increase your odds of actually being seen and then being picked by a team?
Like anything else in life, having the right information, and getting the right exposure is critical for future success.
The Pre Draft Combine is the premier event that helps get players drafted. No other event produces results for players like the Pre Draft Combine.
This year, Pre Draft Combine players were drafted into the Ontario Hockey League, United States Hockey League, and the North American Hockey League. While being drafted is a great honor, even more players attending the Pre Draft Combine sign with Tier II teams directly during and immediately after the event ending.
Every year we add more alumni to our list of those that have previously been drafted or played in the OHL, WHL, QMJHL, USHL, NAHL, BCHL, OJHL, CCHL, MJHL, AJHL, MHL, QJAAAHL, and NCAA.
How can the Pre Draft Combine produce these results? Its simple, scouts come to us instead of forcing players to chase individual team events all over the country.
Why would anyone spend thousands of dollars and countless weekends traveling from one individual team camp to another? It makes no sense.
Understanding how drafts work, and how the Pre Draft Combine works, is critical to understanding the combine and draft process.
Players attending will be tested on and off the ice before participating in highly competitive games in front of scouts from various leagues at various levels. Those scouts then continue to track the development of those players over the course of a season, or sometimes two before they are actually drafted or signed.
Players and parents have an opportunity to interact directly with scouts. Ask questions and become educated.
Players and parents also have an opportunity to educate themselves on the NCAA process, and every players path toward those goals.
While other events may claim to be “combine” type events, the Pre Draft Combine is the original. Everything else is an imitation.
If you want results. Not a handful of “magic beans” as one coach calls most camps, you need to attend a 2017 Pre Draft Combine event.
