Atlantic Division
Forward: Thomas Miller, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders
The 2005-born West Babylon, N.Y., resident put up three goals and one assist for four points in a single game against the Brooklyn Aviators, giving him his first hat trick of his young junior career. The former West Islip High School player has registered 19 points in 23 games.
Defense: Hunter Scanlon, Connecticut Jr. Rangers
The eyes of USPHL history are focusing on Scanlon (‘03/Rockford, Ill.), who at 164 points is just 28 points away from tying former Wisconsin Rapids blueliner Jordan Stear’s 192 points, the record for scoring by a Premier defenseman. In just over a half season, Scanlon already has posted 60 points in 28 games, putting him well over the pace to actually eclipse Stear. This past week, Scanlon put up three goals and three assists for six points in two games against Springfield.
Goaltender: Steven Reganato, Rockets Hockey Club
Reganato (‘04/Holbrook, N.Y.) is a former Bishop Kearney Selects goaltender who picked up his first junior shutout by stopping all 23 shots he faced from the Brooklyn Aviators on Dec. 7. To that point, he had won three of his last five games played.
New England Division
Forward: Jack Roberts, Islanders Hockey Club
Roberts (‘04/Middlefield, Conn.) put up a goal and five assists for six points in two games against the Springfield Pics and Boston Junior Bruins. He currently has 24 points in 21 games this season and 53 points in 59 career games for IHC.
Defense: Ben Parent, Northern Cyclones
Parent (‘04/Hudson, Wis.) put up three assists in two games while leading the Cyclones in ice time against the Utica Jr. Comets, putting up 25:44 per game. He was at a +1, one of the four leaders in that category. He also blocked four shots, a team high.
Goaltender: Dylan Eliason, Utica Jr Comets
In his first game of the season with the Jr. Comets, the second-year Premier veteran Eliason (‘04/Northville, Mich.) stopped 40 of 41 Northern Cyclones shots to get the win and come away with a Jr. Comets split of the series. For his career, he improved to 11-1-0-0 with a 1.12 GAA and a .956 save percentage.
