Vees’ Dalpe is the first POW of the season

Penticton Vees forward Ben Dalpe has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 8, the league announced Tuesday.

Dalpe helped the Vees to a perfect showing in their two games at the Bauer BCHL Showcase. The Paris, Ont. native picked up assists on both Penticton goals and a 1st Star nod in an opening 2-1 win over the Victoria Grizzlies. He replicated his stat line the next day with two helpers in a 3-2 win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs where he was also named 1st Star.
