Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings Join TJHN – Announce Tryout Dates

The Minnesota Junior Hockey League’s Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings have teamed up with TJHN as an advertising and content provider.

The Riverkings will begin their first season in the MNJHL playing out of the South Wood County Recreation Center in Wisconsin Rapids.  The state of the art facility is undergoing some changes this summer with the construction of a new team dressing room exclusively for the Riverkings as well as team offices.

“Last season when I was with the Central Wisconsin Saints, we worked with TJHN and it was instrumental in our success recruiting top end talent.”  Said Riverkings General Manager and Head Coach Marty Quarters “It was a no brainer for us to continue that relationship as a first year team in the MNJHL.  We are looking to come out of the gate with a great one ice product while being active in the community.”

Last season Coach Quarters received no less than six players based upon his participation with TJHN.  Those players were not only team leaders, but many of them will be moving on to higher levels of play this season because of the co-operative efforts between Coach Quarters and TJHN.

“This will be our second season working with Marty.”  Said TJHN Publisher Joseph Kolodziej “He is simply one of the best coaches I have worked with.  Developing talent, and teaching players the finer aspects of the team game are two qualities that have allowed him succeed at every level.  He brings a wealth of experience, and has a vision for the development and promotion of his players.”
