Pueblo Bulls 4, Idaho Falls Spud Kings 3 (OT)

Trevor Stewart’s end-to-end wraparound goal ended Game 1 in favor of the visiting Pueblo Bulls, the No. 4 seed in the Mountain Division in their Mountain semifinal round against the No. 1 Idaho Falls Spud Kings. The Bulls almost didn’t get that far, but a regulation goal scored with five seconds remaining by Matsvei Marshchanok sent the teams into the extra session. He also scored the first goal of the game, while Trevor Stewart added two assists for a three-point night. Mykyta Bondariev posted two assists, and in net, Noel Friedman stopped 32 of 35 shots for the win. The teams are right back in Idaho Falls for Game 2 on Friday night, with a 7:05 p.m. MDT puck drop.
