NCAA Hockey Loves Vegas – As TJHN Reported NCAA Hockey Game Confirmed For Las Vegas

As we reported on TJHN first here and again a few weeks ago here Minnesota and North Dakota have now both confirmed they will meet in the US Hockey Hall of Fame Game in Las Vegas on October 27th, 2018.

“We are always interested in providing new and exciting experiences for our student-athletes and fans, and bringing one of college hockey’s best rivalries to Las Vegas certainly fits the bill,” Gophers athletic director Mark Coyle said in a statement. “With these two programs facing off, you know you’re going to get a great game, and the University of Minnesota is excited to participate in a memorable event at Orleans Arena.”

“Continuing this rivalry is a big deal for our program and our fans,” said UND head coach Brad Berry in a statement. “These are two very proud and historic programs, and the memories these games have created throughout the years has cemented it as the best rivalry in college hockey.”

Is it any coincidence that rumors and students and UNLV are talking more and more about the University adding its own NCAA D-1 program in the next few years?

Is it a coincidence that some involved with the UNLV Hockey Team currently playing in the ACHA division, were once affiliated with Arizona when they were moving toward NCAA hockey?

Is it any coincidence, that the UNLV Hockey team representatives have already spoken to the Athletic Director, and potential donors about funding a team?

I don’t believe in that much coincidence taking place concerning one school and one sport without more going on behind the scenes.
