Chris and Rhea Reaves have been nothing short of a series of explosions in junior hockey. So the question is, how did they get in a position to blow up so many peoples lives and opportunities? The truth likely lies in a series of deceptive actions taken by Reaves designed to trick the USPHL into allowing him ownership of any franchise, let alone more than a dozen.
Reaves touted himself as a Real Estate mogul and developer in order to gain entry into the NCDC/USPHL in 2023. So how was the NCDC and USPHL so easily fooled?
Prior to 2023, Reaves appears to have set out on a deliberate course of opening a series of Limited Liability Companies in North Carolina.
Between January 27, 2022 and May 17, 2022, Reaves filed for seven new LLC’s in North Carolina. All of which are either not current or disolved as of October 19, 2025.

OutRival Sports LLC was formed in Wyoming July 17, 2025 and it was formed by Blade Edge Ventures LLC., which is owned by Chris Reaves and formed on April 15, 2024. Coincidentaly BladeEdge Junction, and BladeEdge Academy were also filed in Wyoming on January 2, 2025. All of these LLC’s are currently listed as being in good standing.
Looking back to 2023, when Reaves first appears on the scene, he is in fact the owner of at least six real estate sales, development or management companies. It is important to note, that none of those company websites are available other than the R6 Inc. site which has not been updated in some time.
Social media for these companies have not been active, and everything seems to have been closed up, or ceased to exist shortly after Reaves was inside the NCDC and USPHL.
BladeEdge Ventures BladeEdge Ventures is a Squarespace website landing on https://broccoli-bugle-llrk.squarespace.com not even a real domain name.
OutRival Sports on the other hand is something completely made up in someone’s fantasy land. The fantasy that removing a page from a website that would make it go away Combine Registration – Outrival None of the 49 claimed combined ever happened. One has to wonder how many people paid?
OutRival Sports in itself is another figment of the Chris and Rhea Reaves imagination. Other than its LLC filing and website, there is nothing to it. It is a sales pitch to players and parents that was clearly deceptive in its inception and blatantly deceptive in its implementation.
The layer upon layer of deception cannot now be claimed to be a simple mistake or series of errors. One LLC filing for another LLC still needs to have a decision maker pulling the strings. That decision maker is Chris Reaves, and his wife Rhea Reaves has been used multiple times as the face of his companies in order to gain trust.
What happens with the Casper Warbirds moving forward? No one is sure. While a Pink the Rink game was allowed to go on, because it was a local benefit event, there is no certain future for the team. What about the Woodstock Slammers? No one knows.
One thing is for certain there are close to one hundred people filing complaints with law enforcement, and likely well over one hundred thousand dollars owed to players alone, not including sponsors.
This story is not going away any time soon.
