Happy holidays all you vultures reading the Death Pool! lol You know when the holiday season comes around lots of strange things can happen. People like to talk about things that have happened over the course of the last year for instance.
In the case of the “hockey genius” team named the Gibbons Pioneers, people from the city, community members and arena staff sure are talking. Can you imagine what they might be tallking about?
It just happens that meetings are taking place to discuss the future, if any future, will take place for this gong show in Gibbons. I know it will be hard to believe, but the arena wants to kick the team out of the building. Shocking isnt it?
Not to fear though. The “hockey genius” has another victim, I mean city, in his sights for relocation of one of the worst teams in junior hockey history. Talks with the town of Redwater Alberta and the Pembina Place arena have already taken place.
Redwater Alberta, is about as likely to support an NJHL team as Phoenix is to support the Coyotes. But it would buy this corpse of a franchise just enough time to finish the season and collect more money from players and tribal leaders. And if anyof these people dont already know, you are going nowhere from this gong show league.
In Fox Creek, also known as “the creek of dead careers”, rumors of unpaid invoices going back to the 2022-2023 season are now being brought up.
Along with those rumors are some incredible first hand accounts of the “hockey genius” and how he likes to show appreciation to friends when consuming adult beverages. These stories, first hand accounts no less, are pretty interesting. Imagine if rumors of drug use turned out to be true. Shocking, yes, I agree.
You might wonder how history not only repeats itself with the “hockey genius”, but it repeats itself every year in nearly the exact way it did the year and years before. Certainly other people are beginning to question this as well.
But hey, there’s nothing a few bottles of Crown cant fix among friends and enemies. Especialy when you dont pay for them.
On that note, lets all raise a glass to what has become the worlds greatest shit show, the NJHL and the “hockey genius”. Without you, smart hockey people would be wasting a lot more money.
