Ahhhhhhhh, some things were just meant to be. Like ham and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, and expansion hockey leagues and some of their teams folding! Some things in life were just meant to be together.
So, to all you little bitches out there who didn’t think I would write about one of our new sponsors folding some teams….. you can all lick my ass now!
Yeah, so the CPJHL is one of the new kids on the block up in Canada trying to start up with AAU sanctioning. They were trying to start with eleven teams! Now that’s just freakin crazy, eleven teams in your first year. May as well say you want to drive a Lamborghini when you get your learners permit.
Lets all say goodbye to the Akwesasne Chiefs and Coldwater Falcons. Cant say we hardly knew you because the Falcons were a GMHL shit show before they went to the CPJHL.
But the Chiefs had some real promise when the thing started. But promise only goes as far as someone is willing to work. Yeah you know, work, that thing you have to do in order to build a roster of paying players. Oh shit yeah, someone musta forgot that thing.
But hey, I give these boys credit. They gave us a heads up on this last night. Yeah, a first year league coming out and telling the press what’s going on before they get written about and don’t get to tell their side of things. Incredible that some leagues that have been around for years cant figure out how to be that professional.
So, the CPJHL is down to nine teams. Still pretty damn good for a first year league. Whats better than the nine teams? How about the way they handle bad news. Get out in front of it, take the heat and move on. Amazing what common sense can do for people.
Speaking of common sense. I was told that it was going on sale at Wal MArt this weekend. Look for teams near you not making purchases when they should.
