Summaries by Joshua Boyd

Forwards

Caden Cavalieri, Columbus Mavericks

Cavalieri (‘04/Amherst, Mass.) remained active in his old tricks, building on what was already a huge first 13 games through Halloween by again being the Great Lakes’ best points-per-game producer at 1.70 points per game, with a 6-11-17 line in his 10 games of November. With 43 points on the season already, he’s bypassed his previous best of 38 points in 40 games recorded last year, and he’s now at exactly 99 points in 89 career regular season USPHL games.

Pierce Ashcroft, Metro Jets

Ashcroft ( ) rode an 8-8-16 line for the month of November to the top of the Jets’ scoring leaderboard, where he currently sits with 28 points in 19 games this year. He brings an active scoring streak of 11 points in seven games into the month of December. Ashcroft, a three-year member of the Jets organization, recently passed his 100th career regular season game on Nov. 23.

Jesse James Aitken, Red River Spartans

A three-year Premier veteran, Aitken (‘04/Scarborough, Ont.) has found a great new home with the Spartans, and he was able to rack up 11 points in seven games over the month of November with the Spartans. He improved his three-year total points to 78 in 75 games.

Forward Honorable Mention: Giovanni Valentine, Columbus Mavericks

Defensemen

Landon Edwards, Toledo Cherokee

After 21 games, Edwards (‘05/Richfield, Wis.) is averaging a point per game for this season, his second in the Premier Conference. During the month of November, Edwards kept up the point-per-game pace with 10 points in 10 contests, while also helping the Cherokee to a 1.48 goals against per game average, good for second league-wide. He has 37 points in 64 career regular season games.

Jake Taylor, Metro Jets

Taylor is, like teammate Ashcroft, a three-year Jets organizational alum who has also helped his team to the league’s best team goals against average of 1.37. During November, Taylor put up seven points in 10 games as the Jets ended the month on a 6-0 winning streak.

Defense Honorable Mention: Alexander Brown, Columbus Mavericks

Goaltender

Caleb Kril, Toledo Cherokee

Kril (‘04/Dexter, Mich.) was simply out of this world throughout the month of November, registering three straight shutouts between Nov. 15 and 22. Overall for the month, he was 4-1-0-0 with a .954 save percentage from stopping 146 out of the 153 shots he faced. He is 8-1-0-0 for the season, including an eight-game winning streak. He is 19-6-2-0 for his two-year career with the Cherokee.

Goaltender Honorable Mention: Andrew Parmentier, Metro Jets

Selection Process: The division’s coaches are presented with a ballot form with statistical leaders (ranked by points per game average for skaters and save percentage for goaltenders) and vote on that form. The league takes the results of that vote and presents the finalists to the coaches, who are able to vote on further changes if desired.
