Games of Feb. 11-17, 2025

Forward: Rocco Romita, Chicago Cougars

Romita (‘04/Naperville, Ill.) joined the Cougars midseason after two seasons in the NA3HL. Over a busy stretch of four games between Feb. 14 and 16, he registered five goals and added four assists, as part of a seven-game assist streak and overall eight-game point streak. Romita has 35 points in 30 games.

Defense: Antoine Bonin, Fort Wayne Spacemen

Bonin (‘05/Bromont, Que.) was monstrous for the Spacemen over three games between Feb. 14-16, scoring two goals and eight assists for 10 points in just three games. He now has 37 points in 38 games, 24 points above his 2023-24 point total.

Goaltender: William Belitski, Metro Jets Development Program

Belitski (‘06/Barrie, Ont.) joined the MJDP during January and has already made a great impression. He stopped 29 of 31 shots against the Toledo Cherokee for a big second win in his young USPHL Premier career. He has stopped 69 of 75 shots in two games for MJDP so far for a .920 save percentage.

North Division

Forward: Max Young, Minnesota Mullets

Young (‘06/Minneapolis, Minn.), an alum of Mounds View High School, scored four goals and added four assists for eight points. This included a 3-2-5 line against Hudson on Feb. 12. This pushed his points total to 61 points in 42 games.

Defense: Matthias Mader, Minnesota Squatch

Mader (‘04/Maria Lanzendorf, Austria) registered a 1-5-6 line in a pair of games that were part of a five-game winning streak that has the Squatch at the top of the North Division. Mader joined the Squatch this month from the NCDC’s Boston Jr. Rangers, where he had eight points on the season at that level.

Goaltender: Anyon Bennett, Minnesota Squatch

The USPHL All-Stars selection Bennett (‘04/Fargo, N.D.) made 25 saves on 27 shots against the Minnesota Mullets, marking his sixth straight win. Bennett was the winning goaltender of record in the Midwest-Great Lakes-North All-Star team’s Jan. 28 victory against the Pacific-Northwest-Canada All-Stars and he stopped 10 of 14 shots during the event.

Great Lakes Division

Forward: C.J. Davidson, Red River Spartans

Davidson (‘04/Zionsville, Ind.) scored two goals and assisted on eight others for 10 points in three games for a 3.33 points per game average as the Spartans finished their regular season with a three-game sweep of Fresh Coast. Davidson finished the regular season with 54 points, more than double the 22 points he put up in 2023-24.

Defense: Nathan Bossola, Cincinnati Cyclones

Bossola (‘06/Valencia, Pa.) came out of the weekend with three assists against Battle Creek and he currently stands with 14 points in 41 games after joining this year from Mars High School and the Pittsburgh Icemen of the Tier 1 Hockey Federation.
